 cryptsetupWhat about the cryptsetup tool (http://www.saout.de/misc/dm-crypt/)? I think it might be very useful to access encrypted partitions from a rescue cd (especially for peole like me who encrypted their root partition ;))...

I'd second that, but instead of cryptsetup please use cryptsetup-luks, which is a backward compatible, LUKS aware version of cryptsetup.

This package has been added in version 0.3.2-beta3. You can use cryptsetup-luks.
